The Healthy Cat

Obviously, one of the most important parts of owning a cat is making sure it is fully taken care of. Cats need a lot of attention and care in order to stay healthy. Usually you can tell a lot about a cat's overall health just by it's appearance.

There are many other things you should watch for when considering the health of your cat. One of these is the cat's behavior. If you have had your cat long enough, you should know the normal behavior of your kitty. Also, watch your cat's posture. A cat who is showing signs of losing balance could possibly be suffering from health problems.

Other ways to watch the health of your cat is to keep an eye on their coat. Watch for bald patches or wounds. Cats can also get ear mites, so make sure your cat's ears are pink and clean.

You should also check your cat's eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and rear. To read more about these areas, view the article. The Healthy Cat: Eight Things You Should Know

Of course, if you feel that your kitty is suffering from any of these problems, take your cat in for a vet checkup. It's always better to be safe than sorry.
